Keep Your Guitar in Tune

The Psalms tell us to “Sing a new Song”… to “play skillfully and shout with joy!” But even if you can’t play a musical instrument or sing anything on key, we are called to “sing” using all of the abilities that God gives us. Learn how to strengthen those abilities and to “keep them in tune” to be ready to serve and worship God.

2025 Camp Meeting- a Summer of Praise and Worship (starts 7/13/25)

“A Summer of Praise and Worship…” The Pitman Camp Meeting will hold its 154th season of services in the Pitman Grove. As in recent years, the 2025 Camp Meeting will meet on Sunday evenings (7:30PM). Several area churches will take turns “hosting” the meetings and leading the worship. Open this post for a full schedule.

The 2025 version of Vacation Bible School will be held during the week of June 23, 2025. During this week, we’ll discover our “True North”- where do we turn when we’re lost? Where do we need to be headed?

PUMC Ready to Host Spring Blood Drive (5/15/25)

Yep- “Another” Red Cross Blood Drive. People keep getting injured or sick, and the needs for blood are continuous, especially as we begin to enter the summer season. You can help fill that need (and maybe even save a life) by donating blood. The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive at PUMC on 5/15/25. Open this post for details.

Easter is now behind us, but we must keep our focus and continue to be “Easter People” as we move forward. “There are some things that we disagree about, but there is one thing that we should all agree upon as Christians, Jesus is Lord!”

Bands to Battle to Share Gospel in Mexico (5/3/25)

A “Battle of the Bands” evening will be held on 5/3/25 to support an upcoming trip to La Palmilla, Mexico. Our missions to La Palmilla have helped this growing church share the Gospel of Jesus’ love and salvation with this community in Mexico.

2025 Easter Egg Hunt (4/19/25)

The 2025 Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday 4/19/25 between 11AM-1PM. Through the “how’d he do that?” wonder of a magic show and through the treasure of broken eggs, this will be a morning of discovering and praising our awesome God! And, we’ll have a lot of fun while doing it (and bring home a lot of “sweet treasures”)!

Pastor’s Ponderings: God Keeps Rolling Up His Sleeves! (February 2025)

Instead of frantically asking, “God where are You?”, we can find peace and hope in the truth that “even when I don’t see it, you’re working” (as it says in the song “Waymaker”). God’s always there. The question is not, Jesus where are you but rather, Jesus let me find you! Jesus has not left us and is working through the Holy Spirit everyday.

Catacomb Praise to Celebrate 200th Episode! (3/3/25)

During the pandemic in 2020, Pastor Mike was burdened by the fact that we couldn’t meet together for times of praise and worship, so he began to post videos of music and scripture. They were intended to reach us during our time away from the sanctuary, and he called them “Catacomb Praise.”
Over the years, 199 of these videos have now been posted! To celebrate the 200th video, it will be “taped before a live studio audience” in our sanctuary on 3/3/25, at 7PM.

Lenten Devotional 2025

Pre-Prayer for this year’s Lenten season by reading a daily devotional article written by local church members. Booklets of these articles will be distributed to churches, and electronic versions of the booklets are available on the PUMC website.
